"Tomorrow Dies Today!" The Avengers are alerted by S.H.I.E.L.D. when a gigantic space station materializes in Earth-orbit, but soon discover that its occupants are the heroic Guardians of the Galaxy, whom both Thor and Captain America have already met. The Guardians have time-traveled from the 31st century in pursuit of the cyborg Korvac, who plans to alter history by killing Vance Astro during his 20th-century boyhood. Back on Earth, meanwhile, Janet Pym is hosting the first show of her fashion designs when the Porcupine and his men attempt a robbery, only to be defeated by the Wasp, Yellowjacket, and Nighthawk, who had been in attendance as Kyle Richmond. In the confusion, however, Carina Walters, one of the fashion models, is approached by a mysterious man from the audience, and both instantaneously vanish.
