Animals Are People, Too! Promoted to on-air Consumer Affairs Reporter, Betty investigates Skintek cosmetics from a tip from Midge. There she finds secret experimentation on lab animals, but the renegade scientist in charge of the lab finds her and decides to experiment on her. Read All About It Betty finds out that her neighbor, Mr. Patterson, is an illiterate adult and hiding the problem. She wants to help him, but doesn't know how. Discussing the problem with Veronica gets her friend into action on the problem. You Gotta Have Art! Ethel is feeling like an ugly duckling next to her three attractive friends. Betty tries to lift Ethel's spirits.
