Synopsis
Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Harbinger summons John Stewart to join the heroes and villains gathered to avert the Crisis on Infinite Earths. The Guardians select Guy Gardner over Hal Jordan to be the new Green Lantern. Hal Jordan retired from the Green Lantern Corps in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #181. John Stewart has been acting as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 since Green Lantern (Volume 2) #182. Carol Ferris was revealed to be not only Star Sapphire, but also the villainous Predator in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #191. Guy Gardner was put into a coma in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #123. John Stewart's interactions on the Monitor's Satellite occur simultaneously with Crisis on Infinite Earths #1. The Anti-Monitor massacres the Guardians using the Central Power Battery of Oa in Crisis on Infinite Earths #2. Abin Sur died in Showcase #22. During his appearances in Crisis on Infinite Earths (Volume 1), John Stewart is seen wearing a mask although he publicly unmasked himself in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #188. He applies his mask using his ring, simply because Harbinger wondered why his costume had changed.
