"The Day of the Destroyer!" - (Lee / Kirby) The Destroyer is a near-indestructible automaton created by Odin countless ages ago to defend mankind from some unknown future foe. However, Loki, the god of mischief has manipulated a mortal into activating The Destroyer and having it target his half-brother Thor! Tales of Asgard Home of the Mighty Norse Gods: "Gather, Warriors!" - (Lee / Kirby) With an army of hand-picked warriors, Thor prepares to sail into the unknown to discover what dread power has caused a crack in Odin's Oversword of Asgard, for if the crack should grow larger, it could spell the death of the universe! Beginning with this issue, 'Marvel Comics Group' changed its trademark to 'Marvel Pop Art Productions' due to fan outcry against the perceived juvenile connotations of the word 'comic'.
