Creation & Design

Carnage was created by writer David Michelinie and artist Mark Bagley, first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #361. The character was designed to be a more chaotic and violent counterpart to Venom.

Early Years

Cletus Kasady was a sociopathic killer who bonded with the offspring of the Venom symbiote, becoming Carnage. His early years were marked by a troubled childhood and a series of violent crimes.
